What the hourly estimate looks like

Live viewers per room, the rough number of eyeballs a broadcaster competes for on each platform right now:
- Chaturbate: 1,055,213 viewers across 6,535 rooms, about 161.5 viewers per room.
- Stripchat: 111,395 viewers across 8,412 rooms, about 13.2 viewers per room.
Higher viewers per room means more potential tippers are already watching, which is where a new broadcaster wants to be. Streamate is excluded here because it does not publish concurrent viewers.

What actually moves your income
- Concurrent viewers. More viewers in the room means more potential tippers. Everything else is about growing and keeping that number.
- Consistent hours. Platforms rank rooms that broadcast on a predictable schedule, and viewers return to models they can find. Irregular streaming caps your income more than short hours do.
- A niche. A specific audience tips more than a general one. The live tag data below shows what is drawing viewers right now.
- Private-show conversion. On per-minute platforms this is the whole game. On token platforms it is a large multiplier on top of public tips.
- Timezone match. Broadcasting when your audience is awake beats broadcasting more hours at the wrong time. See the peak hours above.

There is no single best platform, only the one that fits your niche, your timezone, and the pay model you want. A short read on each:

How much do beginner cam models make?
Usually little in the first weeks. Platform algorithms rank untested rooms below established broadcasters regardless of viewer count, so a new model competes for attention from the bottom of the list. Income grows with consistent schedule, a clear niche, and returning viewers. Most of the earnings gap between beginners and top earners is hours and consistency, not luck.
How many hours do cam models work?
It is flexible; you set your own schedule. Income scales with consistent hours because the platform rewards rooms that broadcast on a predictable schedule and viewers return to models they can find. A few hours a week is a hobby income; a full-time schedule at consistent hours is where the larger numbers come from.
When is the best time to cam?

Is camming worth it?
Income is high variance. The upside is real for consistent performers with a niche, a schedule, and a plan for converting public viewers to private shows or tips. The downside is that casual, irregular broadcasting earns little. Treat the earnings estimates on this site as a range to test against, not a promise.
